How It All Began

I couldn’t believe this was happening.

My wife lay in bed, her face twisted in agony, the room darkened because even the smallest ray of light made her migraines unbearable. She couldn’t work. She couldn’t laugh. She couldn’t live. And it all started with one simple moment. Just one week after our wedding, life seemed perfect. We were still riding the high from our honeymoon and had planned a dinner with my best man to thank him. It was supposed to be a night of laughter and celebration. But then, everything changed. As my wife climbed into the back seat of my tiny Toyota, she hit her head on the roof. I remember the thud—the stunned look on her face. She laughed it off at first.

“I’m okay. Let’s still go to dinner.”

But during dinner, something wasn’t right. She kept rubbing her neck. Her smile faded. The sparkle in her eyes dulled. She didn’t complain, but I could tell she was fighting through pain. That night, I tried massaging her shoulders. But she pulled away with a sharp, “Don’t touch me. It really hurts.” I had never seen her like this before. She insisted she just needed sleep. But the next morning, her pain had gotten worse. “I think I have a migraine,” she said. I didn’t know much about migraines back then, but I knew enough to see that something was terribly wrong.

She could barely open her eyes. We didn’t have any medication in the house, so I rushed to the corner drugstore, convinced that some over-the-counter medicine would solve everything. It didn’t. The migraines only intensified. Days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into months. And I watched, helpless, as my wife’s joy faded. She would leave work early, sometimes multiple times a week, unable to bear the throbbing pain in her head. She couldn’t open her eyes. She couldn’t function. It was like watching the person I loved slowly disappear right in front of me. I thought maybe I’d bought the wrong medication, so I tried the extra-strength stuff.

But nothing changed.

Finally, we went to the doctor. I remember sitting there, clinging to the hope that a solution was coming. The doctor smiled.“ Good news! You’re dealing with chronic migraines. But don’t worry, we have medication that will fix this.” Relief washed over us. Finally. The nightmare was ending. Or so we thought. But when my wife took that first prescription pill, I asked her how she felt. She looked at me, her eyes hollow.

“Well, I still have a lot of pain… but I just don’t care anymore.” I froze.

The medication dulled her emotion—not the pain. It had taken away who she was without giving her the relief she needed. We tried more doctors. More medications. More supposed “miracle” treatments. And every single one failed.

But nothing prepared me for the moment when a doctor looked my wife in the eye and said: “It’s all in your head, sweetheart. You’re just going to have to learn to live with it.” Learn to live with it? How could she live with pain so unbearable that it robbed her of her life? How could we live with that? I was desperate. Defeated. But deep down, I knew there had to be another way.

Then, one day, a family friend suggested something I hadn’t considered.“ You should try a Chiropractor.” a Chiropractor?

I didn’t know what to think. I had never been to one. What could they possibly do that all these doctors and specialists couldn’t? But we were out of options. So, we went. The Chiropractor took X-rays and showed us the images.

“You see these misalignments?” he said. “They’re putting pressure on the nerves. That could be what’s causing the migraines.

”Misalignments?

Nerve pressure? It all sounded too simple.

After everything we had been through, how could this be the answer? But we had tried everything else. What did we have to lose? She would get her treatments several times a week.

At times I would go with her and learn. And slowly, something incredible happened. Her migraines started to fade.

Then, one day, she looked at me and smiled—a real smile. The pain in her eyes was gone. Just like that, her migraines were gone. I watched the joy return to my wife’s face. The light in her eyes came back. We could finally go out with friends again. We could live without fear of the next migraine striking at any moment. That experience changed everything for me.

As I looked at the impact that Chiropractor had on my wife’s life, I thought: If I could do this for other people, that would be incredible. That was the moment I knew. I had found my purpose. And this is why I became a Chiropractor. I’ve seen it too many times to count… People who were told they had no other options—except medication, injections, or surgery—walk into our office completely hopeless.

Like Debra, a woman in her late 70's who came to us with severe migraines. In fact she had been suffering with migraines since she was seven years old. Debra always dreamed about traveling the country with her husband after retirement. But those dreams were crushed—her migraines kept her stuck in bed, curtains drawn, unable to enjoy life. She tried everything from medications, injections and surgery. But nothing could relieve her chronic pain. But after just a few treatments at our office? Her pain decreased significantly and a few months later she sent me a photo standing in front of their RV at the Grand Canyon. Debra finally got her life back.

I have another patient, Greg, who suffered with severe numbness, tingling and burning pain in his feet and legs. The pain was so bad that he was only sleeping a few hours every night and sitting through meetings felt like torture. But the worst part is that the excruciating pain was making him frustrated, angry and difficult to be around. Needless to say his girlfriend was desperately searching for a solution. After six weeks of our Nerve Restoration Treatment, he was walking again, smiling, and active in his community. His girlfriend pulled me aside and said: “It’s like he’s a new man.” Greg finally got his life back.

Or Jim who fell off a ladder and herniated a disc in his spine that caused excruciating lower back pain for over 10 years. He even had back surgery that only made his pain worse. At one point Jim was taking 12 painkillers per day just to dull the pain but the relief was only temporary. During our initial exam we discovered a misalignment in Jim's spine and after just a few visits Jim was jogging and playing tennis pain free. And the best part is Jim was able to stop taking harmful pain medications. Jim finally got his life back.

Our mission is to help people just like you escape the grip of chronic pain–without medication, injections, or surgery so that you can get your life back. If you’re living with chronic pain—if you’ve been told there’s no solution—don’t give up.
